What is Kerala Design Challenge?

It's an opportunity to design your hometown (or any city/town/village of your choice) with your creative imagination and artistic talents.

You can think of bringing in world-class facilities or to preserve the nostalgic memories behind the place, whichever way you want to unleash your creativity #KeralaDesignChallenge is the right platform.

International School of Creative Arts (ISCA) is the Creative Education Partner for Kochi Design Week (KDW). As part of Kochi Design Week, ISCA is organizing the #KeralaDesignChallenge for young creators to express their creativity and to showcase their talents.

Why Kerala Design Challenge?

Through #KeralaDesignChallenge we envision a better Kerala which is creatively designed with world-class facilities. Kerala is called God’s own country because of its natural resources and awesome people. How about adding a creative layer to our villages, towns and cities to make it truly a beautiful place to live in.

How to Participate in Kerala Design Challenge?

Steps to Win the Challenge

01.

Submit Digital Version

Fill up the Entry Form and Upload the digital version of your creative-work to www.kdc2k19.com/upload.html

02.

Submit Physical Version

Submit the original version of your creative-work at your school/college.

03.

Get Selected by Jury

Selects the top 25 creative-works by an expert Jury. They will be awarded a Free Entry to the acclaimed Kochi Design Week 2019.

04.

Participate in Live Contest

Top 5 creative-works gets the opportunity to participate in the coveted Live Contest at the Kochi Design Week 2019.


Guidelines for the Challenge

  1. Students in the Senior Secondary and UG can join the challenge.
  2. Maximum submissions allowed per student is 2 creative-works.
  3. Creative-work should be original.
  4. Students cannot take any assistance.
  5. The last date to submit your Creative-work & Tagline: 10th December 2019.
  6. Follow the below guidelines for various types of work:
For Poster Works For Photography Works For Short Film Works
Specification A4 or A3 Size Papers Theme Based or a Share Story 2 to 5 Minutes
Format JPEG 300 Pixels .AVI, .MOV, .MP4
Allowed Pencil, Pen, Charcoal, Crayon, Pastel, Watercolour, Acrylics, Oils, Poster Colour and Collage. Any photography devices including mobile phones.
Not Allowed Digital Tools or Apps

Kochi Design Week

KOCHI DESIGN WEEK is India's largest annual design festival of creative minds to meet & discuss the new facets of the design & architecture fraternity.

The Government of Kerala is getting into a crucial phase of rebuilding and this is going to be a wide project with a lot of scope for deployment of innovative solutions. While the disaster was destructive and painful, it also gives an opportunity to rebuild the state with a future vision.

The second edition of KOCHI DESIGN WEEK will witness a gathering of over 1500+ architects, design professionals, thought leaders, policymakers & government offi­cials, who will actively participate in the festival.

International School of Creative Arts (ISCA) has been identified as the Creative Education Partner of KOCHI DESIGN WEEK to coordinate #KeralaDesignChallenge across various schools and colleges.
